Job Summary:
As a Psychologist, you will be an integral part of our youth centers, delivering expert social work services to patients and their families. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will address the psychosocial needs of individuals facing challenges. This role provides a unique chance to make a positive impact.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral functioning of youth.
· Formulate accurate diagnoses based on assessment findings and collaborate with other team members to develop individualized treatment plans.
· Provide evidence-based therapy and counseling services to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders.
· Offer support and guidance to families, caregivers, and other stakeholders involved in the care of youth.
· Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with colleagues to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
· Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of child and adolescent psychology.
Qualifications:
· Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
· Current license to practice psychology in the state of Maryland.
· Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a mental health or educational setting.
· Strong clinical skills and proficiency in conducting psychological assessments, diagnosing mental health disorders, and providing evidence-based interventions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and families.
· Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the provision of psychological services.
· Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines governing the practice of psychology.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
